I
recently joined the Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT) community! I am super excited about opening up my new
TpT account where I have access to the “world’s first open marketplace where
teachers buy and sell original teaching materials.”
One of the
greatest opportunities I receive in my inclusion classroom placement is
the chance to collaborate with several other educators on various teaching
strategies and lesson plans. During
these past few months I have shared and received a wealth of information with
colleagues that has further enriched learning within my classroom.
As a
life-long learner myself, I am continuously searching for ways in which I can
further extend my professional development and enhance program initiatives
within my classroom. In the past I have
stumbled upon TpT a number of times, but only to feel intimated by the content
on the site. Let’s be honest, have you
visited TpT? There is a plethora of phenomenal materials available to professionals
in the education field. Educators have
spent hours upon hours developing these resources…and they all can be yours for
a very reasonable price!
It wasn’t
until recently when I received some very positive feedback over a lesson I
created for 6th Grade Math fractions that I decided, perhaps I
should begin to share my knowledge and expertise with others outside of my
cooperative team environment. And so,
with a little encouragement from myself, I decided to take the leap and join
the community! To date I only have one
lesson posted, but I am working on a number of SMARTBoard activities that are aligned
with the Common Core State Standards which I will be adding within the next
week. You can check out my store by

Happy Shopping!
